WINDER SALUTES

The Winder Cultural Arts Department and WTV21 are proud to announce the collaborative development of a Public Service Announcement (PSA) program to recognize the service, commitment and sacrifice of Winder and Barrow County residents who have served or are currently serving in any branch of the Armed Forces of the United States of America.

“WINDER SALUTES” is a series of thirty (30) second PSA breaks to be randomly broadcast between other regularly scheduled programming on WTV21. Each “WINDER SALUTES” PSA spot will include up to three (3) still slides of service member recognitions. A representative PSA is shown below.

Each of these “WINDER SALUTES” PSA spots will be assembled as information and photos are received.  Because this program is dependent entirely upon the information submitted by our citizens, WTV21 is unable to provide a broadcast schedule for “WINDER SALUTES” PSA spots.

To include yourself or your loved one in “WINDER SALUTES”, please submit the following information: 

• Service member’s name
• Rank
• Branch of service
• Years or dates of service
• Status (active, veteran, retired, or deceased) If killed in action, please provide date and location if known.
• Current deployment (if applicable)
• Local hometown
• A civilian photo
• A military photo (if available)

Note: Due to the anticipated volume and limited availability of personnel and resources we cannot accept hardcopy photographs.  All information and photographs must be submitted via the email address provided above.  Please note that any photos received via postal mail will not be returned.  Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
